Pencil is often light - but we do take some liberties with darkening lines and enhancing the art’s vibrancy without changing it. We have worked with some dimensional and textured art as well (strings, yarn, pipe cleaners, foam cut outs.

A woman in an orange shirt and jeans is organizing colorful children's artwork on a table in a bright room with a large window.

Hi, I’m Gina Lauria

I began my career in marketing, working closely with designers and visual storytellers—before eventually becoming one myself.

I’ve always been drawn to design. A cereal box, a magazine spread, a well-composed image—everything felt like a study in form, color, and composition. Over time, that interest became practice. I’m largely self-taught, working across acrylics, watercolor, mixed media, and collage.

Like many parents, I saved a lot of my kids’ artwork. It all felt so precious and fleeting. The drawings, the paintings, the pieces that came home day after day—full of color, energy, and personality. For a while, the art lived on the walls in an ever-changing gallery in my kitchen. And then, slowly, that steady influx of children’s art dwindled.

As the kids got older, I packed away my sweet little art gallery into some boxes along with everything else from those early wonder years.

Years later, as I returned to my own creative work, I came across examples of children’s artwork collage—and something clicked. I knew exactly where I had stashed those boxes and got right to it!

What followed has become the foundation for The Stashed Edit.
